The Upper Rogue Chamber and Convention Bureau is a subsidiary of the Upper Rogue Regional Tourism Alliance (URRTA). The Chamber follows the mission and objectives of its parent non-profit organization. In addition, the Chamber was established to promote private enterprise and mutually beneficial relationships among its members, between businesses, and its regional community through government relations, members services, education relations, community and economic development. The Upper Rogue Chamber & Convention Bureau together with URRTA, is a vital part in keeping this part of rural America healthy and ... Alive!

The Chamber, with its offices located in Shady Cove, operates as a unique central agency organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of all Upper Rogue communities, so that its citizens and all areas of the regional business community shall prosper. The Chamber is not a department of the County or State government, and it is not a charity. Membership dues and expenses may be tax deductible as a business expense but not as a charitable contribution.

The Chamber's most important asset is it's membership - people who realize that through the Chamber they can accomplish collectively what no one member can do individually. 

The Chamber businesses, and professional firms work together with the Oregon Tourism Commission, Southern Oregon Visitors Association (SOVA), Eagle Point Chamber of Commerce and Medford/Jackson County Chamber to enhance the economic climate of the Upper Rogue and Southern Oregon regions for business growth and quality of life through excellence in services and marketing.

The Chamber, under the umbrella of URRTA, is the official tourism promotion agency for the gateway region to Oregon's only National Park, Crater Lake National Park. The Chamber applies for grants, oversees a tourist information center, responds to travel inquiry mailings, acts as liaison with government and community organizations, attends various tourism related conferences and symposiums, develops and distributes an annual visitors information guide, monthly newsletter, and provides awareness of the region's amenities through media and a variety of promotional activities, special events and fund raisers.
